Active members (Match Officials) over 16yo MUST have a current Working With Vulnerable People card to be an appointed match official on a junior or senior games (Referee, AR or RC). See details on the 'Registration' page to find out how to obtain an WWVP card (or your state equivalent).
NEW 2024 TRIAL LAW - LOWERING LEGAL TACKLE HEIGHT. Rugby Australia recently advised the rugby community that commencing in 2024 the legal tackle height will be lowered to 'below the sternum'. See what this means in Rugby Xplorer - Learning Centre under "Smart Tackle Online"

ACT Rugby Referees AssociationWelcome to the official ACT Rugby Referees Association website. ACTRRA is responsible for the allocation of referees for rugby union games in the ACT and surrounding NSW regions, ranging from; Yass and Goulburn to Bungendore; and Jindabyne to Batemans Bay. Each week referees are appointed to up to 80 junior and 35 senior games throughout the region. ACTRRA members are appointed as support officials to games involving the Brumbies. In conjunction with Brumbies Rugby, ACTRRA strives to develop referees for both the local area and further afield.
